Here at UX Passion our Wall of Tweets team strongly believes in giving back to the community and supporting valuable events, ideas and different other forms of creative expression.
After we have proudly supported TEDx conferences for well over a year now we are extending our free offer to all Ignite event organizers worldwide. Of course, this means that TEDx events are still supported by us, now we just have a new member of the family, so to say…

Wall of tweets is now available, free of charge for all Ignite events

„Started by Brady Forrest, Technology Evangelist for O’Reilly Media, and Bre Pettis of Etsy.com, formerly of MAKE Magazine, Ignite was inspired by Pecha Kucha Nights, where speakers are given 20 slides, each shown for 20 seconds, giving each speaker 6 minutes and 40 seconds of fame. The first Ignite took place in Seattle in 2006, and since then the event has become an international phenomenon, with gatherings in Helsinki, Finland; Paris, France; New York, New York; and many other locations.

Ignite has two parts: the Ignite contest, where people make things, and Ignite talks, where presenters get 20 slides and five minutes to make their point. You can opt to only have talks, but the contest is fun and can serve as a great warm-up for the talks.“

Why now?

We’ve been approached by Ignite organizers several times, we’ve even already supported events in London, and today marks the point where we’d love to extend this globally.

Our thanks and big HELLO and THANKS from Zagreb goes to Richard – we’ve been working with Ignite London guys and last time it was with their 4th Ignite London – part of the Global Ignite Week. Looking forward to work with you guys again soon and, now, to support other Ignite events as well!

Besides the standard module for displaying messages from Twitter, there was a module for most active users, for following a dynamics of tweets in real-time and many more details. One could access Wall of Tweets over the Internet or on a touchscreen in front of the conference room.
